First we get the first steps toward microbe and potential illness protection with the affectionately nicknamed Tri-Corder ala "Star Trek" fame, and now it's time to consider the possibilities of inter-stellar travel and invisibility!

thats sweet, you gotta check out htis show on discovery called How William Shatner Changed the World. Its all about the different things inspired by Star Trek and theres a guy who talks about breaking light speed.
I read about this in Discover magazine years ago. That's right. Discover magazine.
You read?! In any case, history dictates that theoretical science becomes reality science with time. I read another article on teleportation that is far too complicated for me to repeat here but it was just as interesting (they have successfully teleported neutrinos or something like that).
That William Shatner thing was actually just on on Sunday, I was too pre-occupied to watch any of it but one day I will!
