At long last, I have arrived in San Diego for the 2011 Comic-Con. You can tell your fellow comic-conners by their t-shirts with superheroes on them, how thick their glasses are and whether or not their mom is escorting them despite being in their 20's or 30's.
Feeling a little out of place in my all-black, no-logo, no-design shirt, I headed out in search of the infamous Comic-Con Badge (even Lisa Simpson knows these are more powerful than a velvet rope...mmm...a velvet rope...). I knew a lot of people would have the same idea of going to get their badge a day early as well, I just didn't realize it would be all 120,000 geeks (and their moms).
That picture is just a room full of people waiting to be LET IN to the actual room for badge pickup.
Tomorrow begins the gauntlet...
